Video: Kevin Hart calls himself the ‘Dumbest man alive’ after ending up in a wheelchair after race against former Patriots player

The Golden Jet just doesn’t have it anymore. Comedian Kevin Hart is recovering in a wheelchair after he tore multiple muscles in a foot race against Stevan Ridley, a former New England Patriots running back, Hart announced Wednesday.

In an Instagram post, Hart said, “Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40 is real. All my men and women out there who are 40 years old and above, respect that age. It’s not a game.”

Hart tore his lower abdomen and both hip abductors after Super Bowl XLIX champion running back Stevan Ridley challenged him to a 40-yard dash.

“I don’t want you to be alarmed, but I’m in a wheelchair,” Hart said in the post, which had a caption that read, “Dumbest man alive.”

Hart was arguing with Ridley about who was faster and somehow it led to a challenge that he shouldn’t have taken.

“I can’t walk…This is 44,” Hart said. “What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing? Why did I even race? stupidest shit ever. Now I can’t walk.”

Ridley said, “I saw Tom Brady do it at your age so I figured you had the juice too big bro! My bad. Heal up and keep making us all laugh.”
