Patriots Fan Died After Getting Punched In The Face By A Dolphins Fan During Sunday Night’s Game

Tragedy struck in Foxborough when New Hampshire father of two tragically lost his life after an incident at Gillette Stadium during the New England Patriots Sunday night football game against the Miami Dolphins.

Dale Mooney, 53, was punched in the face and knocked unconscious by Dolphins fans, according to a witness. Mooney was treated at the scene by EMTs before being rushed to the hospital after what had been described as an “apparent medical event,” but was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.

“The Dolphins fan walks over and clearly punches him in the face,” Joey Kilmartin, of Nashua, New Hampshire, told MassLive. “(He) gets knocked out and you can tell right away he’s not OK.”

Kilmartin said that Mooney also had gotten into a physical confrontation with other fans toward the end of the fourth quarter.

Lisa Mooney, his wife, stated she was told that her husband was being taunted by several Dolphins fans during the game, leading up to an alleged physical altercation in the 300s section of the stadium. She believes footage captured at Gillette will prove that her husband did not throw a single punch.

“According to stadium footage, Dale never threw a punch.”

These Dolphins fans should be arrested and tried with manslaughter. Unfortunately, fights have been breaking out all across the NFL, and an unfortunate incident like this was bound to happen.
