NFL fines Ravens for violating in-game communications rules in preseason
The Baltimore Ravens violated an NFL rule when they sent multiple players onto the field during preseason games wearing helmets with communication devices. The league fined the team $200,000 for the infraction. Only one player on the field for each team is permitted to wear a helmet with a communication device that receives signals from coaches, and the Ravens said in a statement their equipment staff did not know the team needed to comply with that policy during the preseason.

It sounds a little fishy to me. I understood the rule and I have never been closer to an NFL field than the 2nd row. Your telling me their staff members were not aware of the rule? The Ravens as you may remember had teamed up with Ryan Grigson and the Indianapolis Colts years ago to create the deflategate sting. They have often found themselves in trouble of skirting the rules in years following but it hasn’t caused a national inquiry.
In two of the past three years, the league disciplined the Ravens for violating NFL rules regarding contact in offseason workouts. The NFL stripped the Ravens of two organized team activities this spring and three in 2016 because of the infractions.
Coach John Harbaugh and the organization paid fines for violating the contact policy in June.
