Video: Yankees Pitcher Masahiro Tanaka Was Hit In the Head By A Line Drive From Giancarlo Stanton
The New York Yankees had a scary moment moments ago while starting pitcher Masahiro Tanka got blasted in the head by a line drive off of slugger Giancarlo Stanton’s bat during a simulated game this afternoon. Tanaka laid motionless for several minutes before being helped up. Tanaka was able to walk off the field with assistance, but will assuredly be going for more testing. This would be a significant blow to the Yankees pitching rotation, who are already missing Luis Severino, if he needs to miss any time.
Can we not get one break from bad news in 2020?
