Tampa Bay Bucs Signed Leonard Fournette
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, running back Leonard Fournette is headed to Tampa, to join Tom Brady, and the Bucs for what should be the NFL’s most explosive offense. ” The Bucs already have Ronald Jones and LeSean McCoy for early-down work and Dare Ogunbowale for passing downs so Fournette’s will not be the workhorse he once was, but adds another major piece to a Tom Brady lead offense, that already has Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski. The Buccaneers might be the favorites to go to the Super Bowl in the NFC after this move.
It is reportedly a 1 year contract with a base salary of $2 million and Fournette can earn up to $3.5 million in incentives. If Fournette wins his grievence with the Jaguars, he could add another $4.2 million.
The former #Jaguars RB had two other potential spots, but this was the clear and obvious choice. Meanwhile, the #Bucs have spent all offseason looking to add a RB. They get a 1,000-yard rusher. https://t.co/PmRuxVF9N3
