Someone is betting a mountain of cash that Tom Brady will be leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory, and winning his 7th Super Bowl next Sunday.

Accordings to BetMGM, someone wagered $2.3 million on the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV, with Tampa Bay to cover the 3.5 point spread they are currently getting.

I guess if you have that kind of money burn it probably won’t hurt as bad as when someone who is trying to make ends meet, loses their weekly paycheck on the big game, but 2 million dollars is still a lot to throw away regardless. Also there are too many intangibles placing a bet this far out in the middle of the pandemic. You can’t believe with the same certainty that everyone will be playing. Either way, I would feel a lot more comfortable betting on Tom Brady than betting against him if I was forced to choose.
