Patriots Land A Top Receiver With Juju Smith-Schuster Signing In Free Agency
The New England Patriots wasted no time replacing Jacoby Meyers. They signed WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, formerly of the Chiefs, to a three-year, $33 million contract.
The Pats lost Jakobi Meyers to a nearly identical contract from the Raiders. Smith-Schuster will be a natural replacement for Meyers, who soaked up targets over the middle of the field and played both slot and outside receiver. Coming off a 933-yard season with the Chiefs, JuJu was bound to get some suitors on the open market. Like New England before them, Kansas City is now in need of a replacement for its outgoing receiving class.
Excited for my next chapter in New England! I will give this organization everything I have, thank you for believing in me! ππΎππΎ pic.twitter.com/EwOxy7L7yz

Jakobi Meyers and JuJu Smith-Schuster have similar games, but Smith-Schuster provides much more YAC ability
Meyers wasn't able to consistently turn schemed touches or underneath/wide-open receptions into bigger gains, which made him a less-than-ideal fit for NE's Z/slot role pic.twitter.com/iJTgE85Nk8
