Denver Broncos Do Not Have An Active Quarterback For Tomorrow’s Game VS New Orleans Saints
In a season that has seen key players missing time due to the Coronavirus, the Denver Broncos are taking it to another level. Every quarterback on the team will be ineligible to play tomorrow’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
Backup quarterback Jeff Driskel was already placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday, and will now be reportedly joined by the rest of the team’s quarterback depth chart. Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles were all ruled ineligible on Saturday due to contact tracing, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Broncos have not announced who they plan to use as their quarterback tomorrow but RB Royce Freeman, and practice squad wide receiver Kendall Hinton, who played quarterback at Wake Forest, appear to be the favorites.
All the QBs on the Broncos' roster are ineligible to play Sunday against the Saints after being deemed high-risk, close contacts, sources tell ESPN.
None were wearing masks at the time of exposure, per source.
