Chiefs vs Bills: The Most-Watched Divisional Playoff Game in NFL History
The Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 NFL divisional playoffs was the most-watched divisional playoff game in NFL history, with an average of 50.39 million viewers tuning in to watch the game. This was a 17% increase in viewership compared to the last divisional playoff matchup between the two teams in 2022.
The game was broadcasted on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. It was also the most-viewed program across all networks since last year’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The game featured another all-time duel between quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. It was a thrilling match that saw the Chiefs secure a spot in the AFC Championship.
The Chiefs will face off against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, which will broadcast on CBS Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. That will then be followed by the NFC Championship Game, which will air on Fox at 6:30 p.m. ET and will take place between the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers. The winners of each championship will then face off in Super Bowl LVIII, which will air on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
