They say good things come to those who wait and holy hell Tim Tebow sure got blessed for his good deeds. He is now one step closer to finally swipping that V-card. The former NFL quarterback and Mets minor leaguer posted a photo Thursday on Instagram of him proposing to former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
“Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world,” Tebow wrote. “You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Nel-Peters posted the same photo on her Instagram account, writing: “Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you!”
Tebow, 31, confirmed to ESPN in July that he was dating Nel-Peters.
“She is a really special girl, and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life,” the former Jet said then. “I am usually very private with these things, but I am very thankful.”
Nel-Peters was born and raised in South Africa and now lives in New York City.
Tebow is expected to start this season with the Mets’ Triple-A affiliate in Syracuse.
All joking aside congratulations to the new couple.
