Former Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson Dead At Age 36



NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports ex-Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson died in a car accident Sunday night at the age of 36. According to law enforcement, Jackson’s vehicle hit a tree just before 9 PM on Sunday causing the car to overturn. It was a single-car accident. Jackson was rushed to a local hospital where he was ultimately pronounced dead.

Jackson was working as the quarterback coach for Tennessee State. He played nine years in the NFL from 2006-2015, most notable starting 20 games for the Vikings and 14 for the Seahawks. Jackson offered dual-threat ability that was uncommon during his time, ultimately finishing his career with a 17-17 record.
